| Our homemade lye soap is still made the
old fashioned way, just like when Grandmother made it 60 years ago. We
make it outdoors over an open fire using an old black kettle. Our recipe
produces a good, natural soap that isn't harsh because we use a super fatted
process and we don't add chemicals or perfumes. Cooking soap that is super
fatted is more costly, but leaves an abundance of glycerin which helps
to condition the skin.
